 New Hampshire Historical Society Names New Executive Director
Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Historical Society has named William H. Dunlap of Amherst, NH, its new executive director. Dunlap, selected in a nationwide search, begins work on April 1, succeeding Michael C. Sununu, who has served as the Society’s interim executive director since September.

 HNHfoundation Awards More Than $500,000 in Grants
The HNHfoundation awarded grants totaling more than $500,000 in 2009. During a period of extreme market fluctuation in which the Foundation endowment fell sharply, the board of director’s priority was to ensure that multi-year commitments were fulfilled. As a result, only two new grants were awarded. Overall, grant awards were made to both statewide and local organizations.

 Amoskeag Business Incubator named Champion in Action
Manchester, NH - Citizens Bank New Hampshire and WMUR-TV have named Amoskeag Business Incubator (abi) as their 2010 first quarter Champion in Action® in the area of workforce development. As part of the award, the organization will receive a $25,000 grant, media coverage, and extensive promotional and volunteer support for providing a supportive entrepreneurial environment that stimulates the growth of businesses and encourages job creation.

 NH Charitable Foundation Names New President
Thomas C. Kiernan to Succeed Lewis M. Feldstein in June 2010

The Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation announced today that it has named Thomas C. Kiernan of Arlington, Virginia to the position of President. Kiernan will succeed Lewis M. Feldstein, who has led the Foundation since 1986, when he retires in June 2010. Kiernan’s appointment follows an extensive national search begun by the Board of Directors last July.

 Grace Mattern to be honored at Women's Expo
NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Executive Director and Center Board Member Grace Mattern has been selected as one of the 20 Outstanding Women You Should Know in New Hampshire.

This award is part of the 95.7 WZID Women's Expo sponsored by Hannaford Supermarkets. Grace will be honored at the Expo which is taking place on February 20th at the Center of New Hampshire Radisson Hotel Expo Center.

Nonprofits are well-represented in the list. Visit the Expo's website for more information on all the award winners.

 The 2010 40 Under Forty
The New Hampshire Union Leader has announced its list of 40 Under Forty. The list recognizes the state's emerging young leaders. Nonprofits were well-represented this year. Leaders from the nonprofit sector included:
