Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity Announces Staff and Board Additions
Non-profit organization Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is pleased to announce the appointments of Harvey Gish of Stratham, Attorney Nicole Paul of Rye and Leslie Modica, public relations specialist of Portsmouth to its Board of Directors. Also joining the organization to help its mission to strengthen families and communities through affordable home-ownership opportunities in Strafford and Rockingham counties, are Petra Kashin of Portsmouth as Development Director and Anne Phipps of New Durham as Office Administrator. St. Mary’s Gives $2,456 to Webster House
MANCHESTER- St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently donated $2,456 to Webster House, a non-profit organization providing shelter, assistance and resources to local youths needing a place to live. Grafton County Senior Citizens Council named New Hampshire Champion in Action
Manchester - Citizens Bank New Hampshire and WMUR-TV have named the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC) as their 2011 second quarter Champion in Action® in the area of food and nutrition. Granite United Way To Invest $5.25 Million In Local Communities
Concord - The Board of Directors of Granite United Way recently approved $3.5 million in program grants for approximately 200 critical programs and initiatives throughout the organization’s footprint in NH and Vermont. An additional $1.75 million in donor directed funds will be distributed to local community partners and through various initiatives and collaborations, including 2-1-1 NH and the City of Manchester’s Homeless Services Center. Families in Transition Vista Program Announces Host Sites
Manchester – Families in Transition (FIT), program sponsor of the Families in Transition VISTA Program, has selected 30 host sites from the Upper Valley to the Seacoast to host a professional VISTA volunteer for 2011-2012. St. Mary’s Gives $3,470 to New Horizons Soup Kitchen and Shelter
Manchester - St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently donated $3,470 to New Horizons For New Hampshire, Inc. in Manchester to help fund phase two of an initiative to create a computer-based volunteer and donation kiosk. St. Mary’s donated $3,200 in 2009 to begin implementation of phase one of the project. The system will allow New Horizons to more effectively and efficiently track volunteers and donations, increasing productivity and improving the overall operations of delivering services to the needy.
