Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum Named Successor to Sargent Museum
Warner, NH – April 14, 2008 – One of the most significant collections of New Hampshire’s prehistoric archaeological artifacts has a new home. Probate Court appointed Receiver Todd Fahey, Attorney at Orr & Reno in Concord, named Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum the successor to the Sargent Museum after an exhaustive review of potential candidates. This decision, made in concert with the Attorney General’s Division of Charitable Trusts, took almost two years to finalize.

Children's Museum receives $25,000 from Hannaford Dover, NH - Hannaford Supermarkets donated $25,000 toward the Children's Museum of New Hampshire in downtown Monday, bringing the museum closer to its goal of $3.6 million.

Concord Regional VNA Receives Funds From NH Charitable Foundation Concord, NH - Mary B. DeVeau, President/CEO, announced that Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association received a $5,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to partially fund the development of a secure Intranet for employee education and communication. YWCA Presents 28th Annual Susan B. Anthony Award
Manchester, NH - On March 31, 2008 the YWCA of Manchester presented the 28th Susan B. Anthony Award to Susan Manchester of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass + Green. This award is given annually to recognize the contributions of an outstanding woman who lives or works in New Hampshire and exemplifies the ideals of Susan B. Anthony who believed passionately in and worked for, civil and political rights, and equality and dignity for all people. These ideals can be demonstrated in any aspect of our life: personal, professional, volunteer, etc.
Also honored was Etana Jacobi of West High School as the Young Woman of the Year. This award is presented to a young woman who has shown particular growth in confidence or leadership skills through her civic/community service actions. NH Project Learning Tree Announces New Communications Specialist Concord, NH - NH Project Learning Tree is very pleased to announce that Sara Head has been chosen as their new Communications Specialist. Sara comes to NH Project Learning Tree from UNH, where she has been the Graduate Program Coordinator for the Natural Resources and Earth Systems Science PhD program. This is Sara's second career. She began her professional life as a nurse, then earned a Master's degree in math education in 2005. She is equally enthusiastic about education and the natural world.
Sara will begin work on April 7. She will work to raise awareness of and participation in the NH Project Learning Tree's innovative educational programs. This new position will have the opportunity to shape and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, mainly through print and electronic media, as well as support and enhance ongoing programs.
