Description:
The Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and Neighborhood Health has received grant funding to work with the community in creating neighborhoods that increase access to healthy foods and physical activity as part of everyday life.
Starting Salary: $21.61 per hour, 20 hrs/wk - No medical, pro-rated benefits
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Public Health and 1-3 years experience in epidemiology, public health, health education or a health field; or equivalent combination of education and training.
Responsibilities:
The Public Health Specialist II position will be responsible for building community partnerships with City Departments, service agencies, residents, and other key stakeholders to conduct neighborhood assessments of the built and food environments, and for developing a community action plan to guide the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving healthy eating and active living in target neighborhoods.
