Board Self-Assessment Questionnaire
The Board Self-Assessment Questionnaire allows nonprofit boards to assess their effectiveness in 12 aspects of governance - ranging from Board-Staff roles to External Relations Practices.

Hundreds of nonprofits across the country have taken advantage of the online administration of this tool since it was launched in 2009.


Now Available as an Online Tool!

The Board Self-Assessment Tool is always free to download and self-administer. However, to save you time and frustration, we have developed a service where we administer the tool and tabulated the results.We distribute the tool to your board members and we follow up with reminders to those who have not responded. After the survey closes, we download the raw data and tabulate the results into a format that makes it easy for your board to begin analysis and assessment of key areas.

At this time, the online administration service for this tool is available at no cost to New Hampshire nonprofits. It is also free to nonprofits in our neighboring states of Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts. For all other nonprofits there is an administrative fee of $50.00.
