Grace was the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence for 30 years before retiring from that position in June, 2011. She was actively involved with public policy and systems advocacy to promote effective community interventions in response to domestic and sexual violence and coordinated a statewide network of programs that assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. She served on the Governor’s Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence, the Access to Justice Commission, the Attorney General’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, the Board of Directors of the NH Coalition to End Homelessness and the NH Child Advocacy Center Network, the Elder Abuse Council and the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program Partnership. She served as a Co-Chair of the National Greenbook Policy Advisory Council, was the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. 

Grace currently serves as a Nonprofit Advisor, with expertise in leadership transitions, succession planning, program development, facilitation, organizational development and structure, collaborative partnerships, and programming and prevention to address violence against women and the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse and neglect.
 
Grace is also an accomplished poet and author. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in numerous literary journals and magazines including Prairie Schooner, Yankee, The Sun, Poet Lore and Calyx.  Grace has also published articles on domestic and sexual violence, and has a chapter forthcoming in a medical text on Intimate Partner Violence. She has received a Poetry Fellowship from the NH State Council on the Arts, and was the first recipient of the Jean Pedrick Memorial Fellowship for a four-week residency at the Vermont Studio Center.  Her chapbook, Fever of Unknown Origin, was published in 2002 and her first full length volume of poetry, The Truth About Death, will be published by Turning Point Books in April 2012.
