 Spurwink
Spurwink is a nationally accredited non-profit organization providing behavioral health, educational and residential services for children, adolescents, adults and families.  With a commitment to quality services and the recruitment of caring, compassionate professionals, Spurwink has gained a reputation for excellence in evidence-based treatment and service delivery throughout New England, Canada and beyond. www.spurwink.org

Spurwink aspires to provide quality services and supports that effectively meet the diverse needs of children, adolescents and adults, and their families. Services at Spurwink are based upon determination of clients' strengths and needs, and include education, care and treatment. In home, community or agency-based settings, our goal is to assist our clients in achieving their optimal potential in the least restrictive environment possible.

Achievements:
•    Spurwink expands its day treatment services to New Hampshire, serving High school and middle-level students with emotional and behavioral needs who require intensive individual and family therapy in an integrated team approach.
•    The Annual Northern New England Conference on Child Maltreatment (ANNECCM) provides multi-disciplinary training to professionals who are involved in child abuse evaluations, investigations, prosecution, and treatment.
•    Humanitarian of the Year:  For 25 years, the Spurwink Humanitarian of the Year Award has recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to enrich the lives of others.  A gala event is held annually in November; this year’s honoree is S. Donald Sussman.
•    Combating Stigma:  Spurwink is sponsoring the second annual Maine Sprout Film festival in 2012, featuring entertaining and memorable films related to autism, aspergers syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.
