Northfield - Suzanne Gottling, PhD, of Sunapee NH was recently elected to the Spaulding Youth Center Board of Trustees for a three-year term expiring in 2014.

Gottling holds a MA and PhD from The Ohio State University.  In her career as an educator Dr. Gottling has held positions as a teacher, school principal, school psychologist and counselor. She served as a member of the NH House of Representatives from 2007- 2010. Her background and experience aligns well with the mission and work carried out at Spaulding Youth Center.

Commenting on joining the Board, Gottling noted, “I fully realize how challenging and important the work and the mission are at Spaulding.  I hope that my familiarity and experience with special education and behavioral health as well as my understanding of the importance of relationships between the schools and state and courts will be of help in implementing programs and services for children and families.”
