Northfield - Stephen (Steve) McCarty of Boxford, MA was recently elected to the Spaulding Youth Center Board of Trustees for a three-year term expiring in 2014. McCarty is the President and founder of the Concept Group which provides client services in the areas of strategy, business analysis, organization and leadership primarily in the healthcare industry. Much of his career has been spent working internationally in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Steve has held executive and senior leadership positions at global consulting enterprises such as Tier, Inc., GenRad, Inc., Arthur D. Little and Renaissance Worldwide.  He holds a graduate degree in Organizational Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and undergraduate degree in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburg.

McCarty, who has a long standing connection to Spaulding commented, “Joining the Spaulding Youth Center Board is an honor and a personal landmark.  In 1976 Spaulding hired me for my first position out of college which provided me with experiences that influenced the rest of my professional career. Now, 35 years later I am hoping that I can give back some of that experience for the benefit of the Center and the children.”
