Spaulding Youth Center Foundation Receives $100,000 Grant |
Northfield - The Board of Trustees of the Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation of Pittsburg, PA recently approved a grant of $100,000 in support of the Spaulding Youth Center Foundation’s Capital Campaign, ‘Success Under Construction,’ to fund the construction of a new school facility at Spaulding Youth Center. The Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation focuses its giving primarily in central NH as well as Pittsburg, PA, and Santa Barbara, CA.
Responding to the growing demand for intensive programs and services for children and youth with autism, neurological or emotional and behavioral disorders, a new school is under construction at Spaulding Youth Center. The new high-performance school, a center of learning for special education, will increase enrollment to 100 students once capacity for 36 additional students is approved by the NH Department of Education
Enthusiastically commenting on the grant award, Spaulding Youth Center CEO and President, Susan S. Calegari said, “This generous grant exemplifies the breadth and depth of support for this project in the philanthropic community and provides a wonderful boost to our capital campaign goal to raise a minimum of $3.17 million. We are so very grateful to the trustees of the Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation for its leadership support to build a contemporary school facility, one which our students and staff so richly deserve.”
