NH Charitable Foundation Announces $3 Million Initiative to Support Moms and Babies Affected by Opiod and Other Substance Misuse

An anonymous donor has made a $3 million gift to the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to change outcomes for pregnant and newly parenting women and their babies affected by opioid and other substance use disorders.

First Nashua Nonprofit Embraces Solar and Energy Efficiency

The Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter (NSKS), which provides food and shelter to thousands of local residents in need, is set to become the first solar-powered nonprofit organization in Nashua. The NSKS Board recently contracted with ReVision Energy for the installation and operation of a 39.3-kilowatt solar array, augmenting its longstanding commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability while saving thousands of dollars in electricity costs per year.

Graceful Giving Campaign to Celebrate NH Non-Profits

This October, everyone can join in a creative celebration of non-profits. Last year, Robin Eichert, founder of PeopleSense Consulting in Jaffrey, started this annual event when she celebrated her dog Grace’s birthday in a very special way. Grace is no ordinary dog. When she was just a pup, she was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico by a non-profit. To honor the spirit of generosity and kindness that saved Grace, Eichert launched something called the Graceful Giving Campaign.

HNH Foundation Awards $234,202 to Improve the Health of New Hampshire Children

The HNH Foundation awarded $234,202 in grants in spring 2017. The awards benefited ten health-related initiatives and projects at non-profit and community organizations across the state. The HNH Foundation made one-year grants to address the health of New Hampshire’s youngest and most vulnerable children and their families.
