Loon Preservation Committee

The Loon Preservation Committee (LPC) was created in 1975 in response to concerns about a dramatically declining loon population and the effects of human activities on loons. LPC’s mission is to restore and maintain a healthy population of loons throughout New Hampshire; to monitor the health and productivity of loon populations as sentinels of environmental quality; and to promote a greater understanding of loons and the larger natural world.


The Loon Preservation Committee (loon.org) is seeking a part-time Loon Center Manager.  Position is responsible for oversight of all aspects of The Loon Center’s gift shop, office, building, grounds and some events.  Must be outgoing and personable, a multi-tasker, and have a passion for conservation.  Must have retail experience, word processing and spreadsheet skills, and be able to work well as part of a small team.  LPC is non-profit; pay is modest, and weekend work is required.
