Education Coordinator

League of NH Craftsmen

Founded in 1932, The League of NH Craftsmen in Concord, NH, is a statewide, non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage, nurture, and promote the creation, use and preservation of fine contemporary and traditional craft through the inspiration and education of artists and the broader community. The Education Coordinator plans, executes and evaluates a broad craft education program in collaboration with the Standards & Education Manager and the Curriculum/Education Committees. Must be available to start employment immediately and work within a flexible schedule.  Position may grow to full time in a year.

  • Minimum three years experience as a craft instructor and/or in arts management.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated careful attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Resourcefulness and initiative; able to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Associate’s Degree with demonstrated arts education experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.


  • Research and implement appropriate craft education programs based on requests and need of all constituencies, including craft techniques and business and office skills.
  • Design, and facilitate survey of Juried Members and the general public to assess need.
  • Work with the Manager and Committees to propose programs and budget.
  • Attend meetings of the Curriculum/Education Committee.
  • Assist in the design and content format for the education marketing materials.
  • Prioritize and process correspondence, files, records, and reports.
  • Navigate and retrieve information from databases.
  • Manage internal and outgoing correspondence to instructors and students, proofread communications.
  • Coordinate meetings and schedule programs as requested.
  • Support meetings with agenda preparation, location set-up, advance materials, and minutes.
  • Assist with financial, human resource, technology, insurance, and legal duties as assigned.
  • Provide project management support as assigned including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately with utmost discretion.
