Hope On Haven Hill

Hope on Haven Hill is substance use treatment organization serving homeless, pregnant and newly parenting mothers who are in recovery.  Hope on Haven Hill has an eight (8) bed residential facility and outpatient services, including a developing intensive outpatient program.


HHH’s residential facility opened in December of 2016 and was immediately filled to its capacity to serve eight women and shelter their babies with them. HHH is one of only two residential centers in NH serving this population.  On a daily basis, residents are engaged in an intensive program, which includes group and individual therapy, 12 step programs, smoking cessation seminars, parenting education, recovery support activities, educational and job training and case management for their transition out of treatment.


In addition, the organization has just launched its outpatient counseling services, providing individual and group counseling for individuals with substance use disorder at its administrative offices in Somersworth NH. 

Job Summary
 On a typical day a recovery support worker would be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a safe a healthy and comfortable residential environment
  • Helping residents develop self-management skills of making appointments, following through on house duties, taking needed medications
  • Supporting the residents capacity to follow-through on their treatment goals
  • Provide role-model for healthy life skills and parenting approaches
  • Provide support with community activities, including ensuring resident participates in grocery shopping, support groups etc.
  • Assist with residential life, such as team cooking, cleaning and socializing
  • Ability to develop and maintain healthy and professional boundaries


We are looking for a permanent, part-time recovery support worker to work a set schedule of 25 hours a week. The right candidate must be available for the following weekly schedule*:
Monday: 12 pm - 5:30 pm
Tuesday: 12 pm - 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 12 pm - 5:30 pm
Thursday: 12 pm - 5:30 pm
Friday: 12 pm - 5:30 pm

We are looking for a permanent, part-time 3rd shift part-time recovery support worker to work a set schedule of 32 hours a week. The right candidate must be available for the following weekly schedule:
Friday: 11 pm-7:30 am
Saturday: 11 pm-7:30 am
Sunday: 11 pm-7:30 am
Monday: 11 pm-7:30 am


Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers’ license for at least one year. Must also possess the following:

  • Strong desire to make a difference in the life of a mother challenged by SUD
  • Good time management skills, people skills, prior human services experience.
  • A High School diploma/GED required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a driving record check and be up-to-date on all immunizations
  • All applicants must be able to become CPR, First Aid Certified
  • Must have taken the CCAR 30-hour Recovery Coach Academy or be able to attend within 6 months of hire. Also must desire a willingness to take necessary courses to apply for CRSW within 6 months of hire.
  • Preferred:  residential, treatment, and/or substance use disorder work: 1 year
